Areola Pigmentation Aftercare Instructions

Proper after care is essential to ensure the best healing, colour retention, and long-term results.

Days 1–7: Initial Healing Phase :

  • Keep the area clean and dry. Gently cleanse with sterile water and gauze once daily.
  • Apply a thin layer of healing ointment (e.g. Bepanthen or tattoo-specific balm) 1–2 times per day, as instructed.
  • Do not apply makeup, lotions, or creams other than what we provide or approve.
  • Do not soak the area in water (no baths, pools, hot tubs, or saunas).
  • Avoid wearing tight or abrasive clothing that could irritate the area.
  • No scratching or picking—let any scabbing fall off naturally.

Days 8–14: Light Peeling Stage

  • Minor flaking or dryness is normal.
  • Continue applying healing ointment once daily if dryness persists.
  • Avoid heavy physical activity that causes sweating near the treated area.
  • Still avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds.

After 14 Days:

  • You may return to your normal routine but continue to moisturize daily.
  • Begin using SPF 30+ on the area if exposed to sunlight.
  • Do not exfoliate or use active skin products on the treated area.

What to Expect:

  • Pigment will appear darker or more vibrant during the first week.
  • Final results may take 4–6 weeks to fully settle.
  • A follow-up session may be required for optimal color and shape.

Contact Us If You Notice:

  • Unusual swelling, pus, or persistent redness
  • Excessive pain or heat at the treated area
